Citizens of a Great Kingdom

There will ultimately be one nation, one superpower, one Kingdom… the Kingdom of God. It is a great privilege to be in this Kingdom and it should form the identity for the Christian. And it should fill us with awe, humility, and gratitude that we have been made citizens of this great Kingdom.

Mark 1:15
and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Matthew 8:10-12
When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Matthew 21:43
”Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it."

1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Revelation 1:6
who has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father - to Him be the glory and power forever and ever! Amen.

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

John 3:5
Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”

Revelation 11:15
Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.”

Luke 12:31
But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

Romans 14:17
for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Acts 19:20
So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed.

Moreover you see and hear that not only at Ephesus, but throughout almost all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are not gods which are made with hands.

Acts 17:6-7
But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brethren to the rulers of the city crying out, “These who have turned the world upside down have come here too. Jason has harbored them, and these are all acting contrary to the decrees of Caeser, saying there is another king - - Jesus.”

  • Why is this the greatest Kingdom and superpower the world will ever know?
