Biblical Theology for Election Day and Other Troublesome Times

A proper Theology of God will be a great help on Election Day and other troublesome days in life.

Psalm 115:3 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.

Matthew 10:29-30 Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs on your head are numbered.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quite and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.

Jeremiah 29:7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the LORD for it; for in its peace you will have peace.

Sermon Discussion Questions:

  • What is God’s Sovereignty?

  • Why should God be trusted?

  • Why is it so wrong to not trust God?

  • How does understanding who God is give us peace, joy and free us to serve Him and others?
